A great walking foot that works on my Brother XL2600i
As of right now I give this product 5 stars, because it works really well for me on my Brother XL2600i sewing machine. That being said, I have only just started using it. It is also 10 dollars less expensive than the Brother specific brand and I just hope it holds up for a good while. It was incredibly easy to install (I googled how to install a low shank walking foot) and even though the video I watched was on a different brand machine and different brand walking foot it was still pretty standard and applied to my mechanisms perfectly. I have noticed that there are a lot of questions as to what machines this fits outside of the Singer brand, so I wanted to put out there for my fellow sewers that it works on mine and hopefully the next aspiring sewer/quilter who has the same machine as mine finds this helpful.

Couldn't live without this walking foot!
Use this when I make rag quilts which consist of squares made up of 4 layers of flannel. This foot works right through the 8 layers of flannel and keeps the layers consistent because it moves the bottom of the fabric at the same time as the top. This foot has held up like new through the making of 14 large rag quilts and several regular quilts. It still looks and works like new.

I should have bought one of these long ago. The fabrics stay together move so easily with this foot. I followed a YouTube video to install it with no problem at all.
Buy one. It will make you happy when quilting fabrics.

I bought this walking foot because I started making quilts and I wanted to machine quilt my very first quilt. My stitches weren't uniform, but it could have been my machine and not the foot. I have a Singer Curvy sewing machine and the throat isn't that wide so I didn't have a lot of room to "help" push the quilt through. I think there is a learning curve with this when quilting, but I think it will work fine when I do regular sewing and am sewing with knits or lighter weight fabric. I am looking at upgrading my sewing machine to a machine for sewing and quilting.

I will NEVER not have one of these for the rest of my life! Best sewing purchase I've ever made. If you sew with minky, knit, etc.. fabrics that constantly slide.. buy this. Do not hesitate. I'm a beginner sewer and this was crazy simple to put on (youtube video.. singer even feed foot.. 2 minutes!). I just sewed an arm chair organizer to go over my husband's ugly as sin new recliner. Not ONE slide of the fabric.

You HAVE to own this if you sew anything thick
To own this is not optional if you sew anything thick such as vinyl or demim or sevearl layers of anything. Without it your stitches will skip and go crazy. This makes life easy.(Ok easier) BTW, for that little tiny screw driver that comes the machine to change needles and put this on with, I got a velcro dot and stuck it on the side of the machine so it is handy and I don't need to keep digging it out or wonder what I did with it. (no, I never wonder what I did with stuff)
I actually got one with my machine. Check and see if you did first. Also, youtube for tons of instructions.

Recently pulled out wife's old Singer Simple 2263 for stitching pant leg hem on kid's new school uniform pants. With the regular presser foot, the hem always ended with a slight crease from the inner fabric being pull ever so slightly more than the top on every stitch. I'm certain perfect pant leg hem can be sewn with the regular presser foot by someone with more talent, but fore me, a quick swap of the presser foot with this even feed one solved all issues with the feed and the hem comes out perfect every time.
The foot swap on the Singer 2263 is trivial. Obvious but worth mentioning is that the foot has no mechanical way of knowing when the machine is stitching in reverse, it always feeds the same direction, this isn't a negative just a way these things work.

Great for beginners!
I'm a first time sewer and quilter and this installed so easily and quickly on my Singer Simple. Within seconds of installation I was stitching in the ditch on my quilt sandwich (do I sound like a real quilter yet?) and before I knew it, my project was finished.
I can't wait to start my next project now that I know how easy it is to install and remove. Worth every penny.

Easy to attach! Has been put through some really tough and thick projects and has performed perfectly for at least a month now! Love it! I have ended up using it for several projects that don’t call for it- just because it keeps the fabric moving so well, and makes it so easy to make straight lines of you just let it go to work on its own. I have also discovered that it is handy for seam-gauging by adjusting the needle slightly, then following the inner side of the innermost claw for 1/8-inch seam and the outer edge of the claw for 1/4-inch seam- so has essentially become my 1/4-inch foot!
